Help Kula School Win the Fire Up Your Feet Challenge!

Kula School is participating in the Hawaii Fire Up Your Feet Challenge. Kula PTA has an opportunity to win an overall prize of $1000 plus weekly incentive prizes if we keep our participation levels high.

Prize money is based on how many participants log activities every week through November 5, 2013. Every participant needs to log activity at least once per week through November 5, 2013.

If you haven't signed up, go to http://hi.fireupyourfeet.org/ and sign up now.

Kula School won $100 in the Week 2 challenge by signing up 63 participants. Kihei Charter School won the Week 3 challenge by signing up 134 participants. As of today, Kula School has only 83 participants. Teachers, staff, parents and guardians can sign up--spread the word! We can win this!

If you have any questions, please contact Mary Nees at 283-6338.

Plan now for Nov. 23rd Harvest Festival, 8am - 3pm

With 27 days to go, lots of help is needed! Opportunities are described below.

Harvest Festival Silent Auction Update

Thank you to all who have donated to the Harvest Festival Silent Auction! Please visit  our auction donations page to see who has donated and thank those businesses.

We need parents to:
  1. Contribute to your child's class basket that will be sold in the auction. If you haven't received a flyer about it, check with your room parent.
  2. Ask businesses, artists, crafters and others with special talents to donate items or services to the silent auction.
The auction donation form is online. Contact Ku’ulei at 269-2440 or Desilee at 357-8960 for questions about the silent auction.

Please donate these items to the Harvest Festival:

  • Cases of drinks can be dropped off before or after school in the drop-off chute or on the sidewalk by the office. The drinks will be sold at Harvest Fest.
  • Small gently used toys and leftover Halloween candy can be dropped off at room P-9. These will be used as prizes for the games.
  • The Country Store needs fruits, vegetables, flowers, plants, and baked goods. These items can be delivered (or can be picked up) during the week before the Harvest Festival.

Participate in the Harvest Festival Country Store Baked Goods Competition

Enter your pies, cookies, cakes, and other baked goods into this year's competition. Entries are due November 22. Entries must be labeled with all ingredients and cannot contain cream or custards or anything that needs to be refrigerated. The baked goods will be donated to the store to be sold. For more information call Emily Ventura, 808-264-8598

Volunteer to work during the Harvest Festival

We hope every Kula family will contribute a few hours before, during or after the Harvest Festival. We are using an online tool called VolunteerSpot to coordinate volunteers for the Harvest Festival. Watch for an email in the next week inviting you to sign up for a shift during the festival. To volunteer to work, you can also email the PTA or call Nikki at 808-876-7614.

Win $100 & other cash prizes --Kula PTA Store Amazon Fundraiser Contest

November and December are big shopping months and Kula PTA Store wants to reward our families for switching as many of their shopping habits as possible this winter. Look for the Kula PTA Store Contest Envelopes being sent home with students.

Your family could win up to $100 cash for first prize in our Kula PTA Store Contest! Contest packages will include a Shopping List Helper, and a "Help Us Win" Contest sheet to share with friends and family. Additional sheets will be available for download or pick up on request, so remember to make a list of who may be able to help your family win the contest and share the opportunity to help Kula School students.
Contest Dates:  November 1, 2013 - January 9, 2014

The PTA is very excited since this is the first contest with so many possibilities like these:
  • Amazon shopping has endless options for kitchen, bath, fitness, beauty, office, electronics and apparel
  • Movie Rentals from Kula PTA Store via Amazon Instant Video
  • Gift Cards (free shipping) for stores like Sephora, Dominos, PetCo, Subway, and Forever 21
  • Regular household and gift shopping from stores like Walmart, the malls, Longs, Office Max, and Whole Foods
Our #1 goal is for every family to participate and be entered for the Lucky Winner Drawing sponsored by Professional Business Services.

Our second goal is to sell 3,000 items through Kula PTA Store during the contest.

Since everyone will be shopping, why not help Kula School PTA make this contest a huge success and get the chance to win one of our great prizes?

Mahalo to our other Corporate Sponsors:

2nd Prize - $50 Cash sponsored by Destination Resorts Hawaii
3rd Prize - $25 Amazon Gift Card sponsored by Eurotech Maui.

Visit Kula PTA Store today and get ready for the contest to start November 1st. Remember:  The key to winning will be planning your shopping ahead of time at Kula PTA Store.  Start your shopping list today!
