Kula PTA Store Amazon Fundraiser FAQs

BACK TO STORE

Do I need to be a Kula School Family to support Kula PTA Store's Amazon fundraiser?
Not at all!  We welcome purchases from everyone and anyone to help us reach our goals and support public school students.

What if I already have an Amazon account?
Perfect.  Sign in after you click through on the Shopping links or Search Box
or
Sign into Amazon first - Close the Window - Enter thru Kula PTA Store

What should I buy?
We recommend bookmarking and shopping weekly at Kula PTA Store first for things you normally buy at other stores.

Why would I buy Gift Cards?
Gift Cards are a great option for future and in-store purchases.  For example, Whole Foods carries perishable items that you wouldn't order online.  So, by purchasing a Whole Foods Gift Card at Kula PTA Store, you can support Kula School and simply use the gift cards as your form of payment.

If you visit Jack in the Box, Panda or Subway occasionally, you can pre-purchase and carry gift cards to use as your form of payment and still benefit Kula School.

Also, if you have an order that is not quite qualifying for free shipping, purchasing Gift Cards is a way to qualify for free shipping.

How do I get Free Shipping?
By making a purchase of at least $35 and choosing items that qualify for free shipping.

Hot Tip:  If your purchase isn't reaching the $35 limit - purchase a gift card from somewhere that you know you will shop, and use it on future purchases in-store.

Can you see my purchases?
We can see items that were purchased and the commissions generated but we NEVER get any information about who purchased them.  All purchases are anonymous.

How will I know that Kula PTA got credit for my purchase?
You can send an email with your item description and date of purchase and we can search the archives for it.  Send your inquiry to kulapta@gmail.com

Can I shop BEFORE I visit Kula PTA Store?
Searching and shopping items prior to entering through the Kula PTA Store portal will not earn benefits or commissions for Kula PTA.  Enter first, then search, and complete your purchase within a week to ensure proper credit.

Leaving items in your shopping cart for too long may make your items ineligible to benefit Kula PTA.

What Is Instant Video?
The Instant Video Button will take you to Amazon where you can rent or purchase movies.  Please see our HOW TO RENT MOVIES

How long does it take for my items to arrive?
Amazon will have all the answers to your product and shipping questions

Update as of December 10, 2013

FOR MORE INFORMATION:

Kula School Amazon Fundraiser continues to build momentum in the busy shopping season, but needs help from all over the country and state to meet their 3,000 item goal.

331 of 3,000 as of December 11, 2013
The fundraising goal is based on 10 items per family over the 3 month period of November thru January 2013.  Considering that items like shampoo, printer inks, gift buying, in-store gift cards, movie rentals and vitamins are on the potential list of items, the fundraiser goal should be very feasible.
With the help of businesses purchasing supplies, and the community buying everyday goods, Kula School can raise the funds needed to hire PE teachers and to support teacher needs and student programs.

Students Love PE

2nd Grader loves Dodge Ball sponsored by Kula PTA

Our students appreciate their time outside participating in games and movement.  This is the first post of a series which will let the kids express why PE and the other PTA funded programs are so important to them.

Without PTA funding at Kula School, the PE program wouldn't be possible.

THANK YOU TO OUR ALL OUR SUPPORTERS & SPONSORS

Plan now for Nov. 23rd Harvest Festival, 8am - 3pm

With 27 days to go, lots of help is needed! Opportunities are described below.

Harvest Festival Silent Auction Update

Thank you to all who have donated to the Harvest Festival Silent Auction! Please visit  our auction donations page to see who has donated and thank those businesses.

We need parents to:
  1. Contribute to your child's class basket that will be sold in the auction. If you haven't received a flyer about it, check with your room parent.
  2. Ask businesses, artists, crafters and others with special talents to donate items or services to the silent auction.
The auction donation form is online. Contact Ku’ulei at 269-2440 or Desilee at 357-8960 for questions about the silent auction.

Please donate these items to the Harvest Festival:

  • Cases of drinks can be dropped off before or after school in the drop-off chute or on the sidewalk by the office. The drinks will be sold at Harvest Fest.
  • Small gently used toys and leftover Halloween candy can be dropped off at room P-9. These will be used as prizes for the games.
  • The Country Store needs fruits, vegetables, flowers, plants, and baked goods. These items can be delivered (or can be picked up) during the week before the Harvest Festival.

Participate in the Harvest Festival Country Store Baked Goods Competition

Enter your pies, cookies, cakes, and other baked goods into this year's competition. Entries are due November 22. Entries must be labeled with all ingredients and cannot contain cream or custards or anything that needs to be refrigerated. The baked goods will be donated to the store to be sold. For more information call Emily Ventura, 808-264-8598

Volunteer to work during the Harvest Festival

We hope every Kula family will contribute a few hours before, during or after the Harvest Festival. We are using an online tool called VolunteerSpot to coordinate volunteers for the Harvest Festival. Watch for an email in the next week inviting you to sign up for a shift during the festival. To volunteer to work, you can also email the PTA or call Nikki at 808-876-7614.

Win $100 & other cash prizes --Kula PTA Store Amazon Fundraiser Contest

November and December are big shopping months and Kula PTA Store wants to reward our families for switching as many of their shopping habits as possible this winter. Look for the Kula PTA Store Contest Envelopes being sent home with students.

Your family could win up to $100 cash for first prize in our Kula PTA Store Contest! Contest packages will include a Shopping List Helper, and a "Help Us Win" Contest sheet to share with friends and family. Additional sheets will be available for download or pick up on request, so remember to make a list of who may be able to help your family win the contest and share the opportunity to help Kula School students.
Contest Dates:  November 1, 2013 - January 9, 2014

The PTA is very excited since this is the first contest with so many possibilities like these:
  • Amazon shopping has endless options for kitchen, bath, fitness, beauty, office, electronics and apparel
