Kula School's Art Night

April 13, 2011

Kula Elementary presents 'Art Night'
KULA - Kula Elementary School will hold is annual "Art Night" from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Friday at the Kula Community Center.
The event will feature the artwork of students from kindergarten through 5th grade. It is open to the public.
The students created the artwork through Art Exploratory, a visual arts enrichment program that started at the school 17 years ago under the direction of teaching artist Neida Bangerter.
The program brings professional artists to the school for six weeks to teach techniques and skills of drawing, painting and sculpture.
This year's artists were Jeanette Hablewitz, Jaisy Hanlon and Wendy Romanchak. The program is funded by the Kula School PTA through community fundraising and parent support.
